It’s movin’ time! I know it seems like I just got this Tumblr…and I did…but I’ve now purchased a website space and I’m going to use that instead. I’ll keep updating on my blog account (this account), but the posts will also appear on my new site. Also, I’ll keep my art Tumblr running as a sort of archive, but there will be no new updates on it. In...
I'm A High School Graduate!
Wow, I can’t believe that the time has finally come for me to start yet another new chapter in my life. As a high school graduate I can say that I’m both scared for what’s ahead, but more than anything that I’m excited for my future. Or at the very least, for college.
I know this posts to Facebook, so here’s a shout out to my fellow graduates (and...
Drawing-a-day update
Okay so it’s not gone that well….but I have two drawings! But I didn’t care for the first…so that’s not going to be seen by anyone. Actually, it was really good at the start but then I made the body too long >< Falling into old habits, I guess.
Anyway, the first successful “drawing-a-day” drawing is actually…a drawing of some arbitrary...
Little Update
Hey guys, I know I haven’t posted anything in a while, but nothing much has been happening. My summer break is in full swing, but this week I have a bunch of school stuff to attend. After I graduate in a week (Oh God…finally…), I’ll really be free! I’m so excited for the summer to start and for college to begin. I haven’t found out about roommates or anything,...
Done With High School Classes!...What Now?
So last Thursday I finished up my high school classes. I can’t say I”m done with high school per se though…as my principle pointed out, I haven’t gotten my grades [har har.], and I also have a few hours of community service left to do. I also haven’t…well, graduated.
But nonetheless I no longer have to show up to school for classes, and thus I am free for the...
All done!
Wow, and I thought that this moment would never come. But here it is — I’ve officially finished putting together my AP Studio portfolio! It just has to be sent off. It’s a wonderful feeling, and I’m super excited that it’s finally over. It was fun though, and I learned a lot. The concentration pages were definitely the best.
Here's a Quick Update
Sorry that I haven’t really posted lately - not much has been happening!
I’m excited for school in the fall…but until then, I’m finishing up my Art Studio portfolio. All I really have to do is get my quality pieces together to be sent out, and then I should be done. My final AP exam is May 5, and then I’m done with school! Yay!
Hopefully I will be doing a lot of...

College Chosen!
Yay, I have finally chosen my college! After long consideration and debate between MCAD and Herron, I have decided to brave the Minneapolis cold and go to the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. While I thought that Herron was a truly amazing school with beautiful facilities, great faculty, and friendly students, I think that MCAD is a perfect fit for me. Their own facilities are amazing, their...
Final page!
I finished the final page of my concentration! It’s not the best, but it’s done and I think it looked good enough. Finally done!!
Page 9!
Concentration page 9 is finally finished! This one was a lot quicker than the others, but I think it still looks pretty nice. Go to my art blog to take a look!
Concentration Cover and Back
I’ve finally come up with a name and design for my concentration cover and back! I really like how the mosaic effect turned out. It was kind of an experiment, and I think it went well. Simple, clean, yes? 2 more pages to go, and I’ll be finished!
College Update
Since I last posted, I visited the Herron School of Art and Design in Indianapolis on the IUPUI campus. I talked to a bunch of students and faculty from both Foundation Year and from the Visual Communications major. All of them had AMAZING things to say about Herron. The students really loved it, the projects, the teachers, the environment, etc etc. The teachers had really strong projects too,...
College visit!
For today and tomorrow I will be in Indianapolis, staying overnight at Herron. If you don’t remember where that is, it’s on the IUPUI campus. I’ll update you when I get home!
Wow...3 More Pages?
I have three more concentration pieces up! I’m so excited, I’m getting closer and closer…now I just need to make a cover, a back, and then another two pages. That shouldn’t take too long, right? I hope not. Anyway, all three are in the same post on my art site, and you can see them on my dA as well. If you want to read any stories included in any of my pages, they’re...
Here's What's Happening
Hey guys, sorry that I haven’t been updating. Do you want me to do the quotes again? I might. It’s hard to be at the computer as much as I was because of the new kitten. But maybe I will..you’re supposed to post frequently to your blog and I don’t feel like I am enough. Anyway, I’ve been going crazy with my concentrations and have finished three in a set since the...
New Concentration Page...Again!
Hey guys, here’s a quick update: My 5th concentration page has finally been finished. It took a while to think of what to do, but I’m kind of happy about the result. I hope everyone else likes it as well. If you’re interested in reading the entirety of any of the stories in my concentration “zine”, they’re all on my dA. Take a look around!
New Concentration Page
I have my fourth concentration page up on my art blog. I’ll make a tag so that you don’t have to keep going back to the original post. The four I’ve completed will still be part of the same post, but everything after that will be put in a separate post. You can find the link under all of my other links for the site. Hope that’ll make it easier for you!

iPhone 4!
I know I promised myself to only talk about artwork…but I have an iPhone 4, finally! I’m very excited…I’ve wanted one since they first came out. And now I finally have one! My dad is excited too, because once the iPhone 5 comes out, he gets my iPhone 4.
While I’m talking about technology, I also upgraded to 8 GB of RAM as opposed to my average 4. While you tech...
Tattoo
Hey everyone, I was honored enough to be able to design a tattoo last weekend! I enjoyed the process, as difficult as it was, and the results look pretty good. I definitely didn’t understand how complex they could be, and how permanent they are. It really hit me when I was finishing it off. It was a lot of pressure! But I think that that helped the product become even better. It took about 2...
Artwork Update
This is a little late - but I just updated my work. You’ll have to look at the concentration post to find it, but it’s my third page! I have 9 more to go by May…yeesh. Anyway, I”ll continue to update as I finish things.
The great discoveries are usually obvious.

New Kitten!
Hey guys, sorry that I haven’t been updating or posting. I have a new 6 week old kitten in the house. 2.1 pounds of adorable! His name is Dexter, and I’ve had them for about 3 days. I’m excited about having him here, but I also have a lot of art to catch up on! I’ll try to do at least one concentration piece before school starts again. I look forward to updating you,...

Back from the Dead.
Wow..I haven’t posted anything in a long time. For those of you who read, I’m very sorry! I’ve had this weird cold with a vicious cough for the last week and a half, and I’ve done nothing but lay in bed and watch Kyle XY. Call it a guilty pleasure.
Nevertheless, a lot has happened. On a happy note, I got into Parsons the New School and received the Creative Achievement...

Where Women Create
So I recently heard from the magazine I was featured in again, offering to post a link to my blog on their website, along with a tumbnail image of my spread. To say the least, I am extremely excited about this opportunity. To help support the magazine as well, I have put on the sidebar of my Artwork Tumblr a badge that links you directly to their website. If you click on the magazine cover on the...
Quick Update.
Unfortunately, I haven’t been in the greatest spirits lately. I’m dealing with a lot of unwanted stresses and difficult situations that I’m not sure how to handle. I’ve been a little inactive lately in my life, and that includes my motivations to post a quote daily. I promise that I will get back to it when everything starts to smooth out, but at the moment my priority is...

Great Weekend
Aside from spending a lot of time with friends and people I love, this weekend has been great for colleges and art stuff. For one, I got into the California College of the Arts (CCA), and I also got into the Ringing College of Art and Design, which I’m now thinking is my top school. It’s expensive, I think, but I really really like the program. I mean I’m already in the major! So...
